St. Nicholas Hospital In the Spring of 1890, four members of the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis arrived in the City of Sheboygan on the Wisconsin shore of Lake Michigan. Shortly thereafter, they began the area’s first hospital and have provided quality, family– and patient-centered healthcare ever since. St. Nicholas Hospital believes that quality in healthcare is doing the right thing at the right time and doing it well. The hospital is committed to investing in its facilities and equipment to provide the highest quality services with modern technology at a reasonable cost. Emergency care is provided by the area’s first board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
