HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital colleagues recently volunteered for Shelby County Salvation Army bell ringing.
Several colleagues rang the bell at Walmart in Shelbyville to gather donations for Salvation Army.
The Shelby County Salvation Army solely depends on bell ringing funds and donations to help assist those in need with shelter, food, clothing and much more. In the last year, they have assisted more than 900 individuals, 58 of which were homeless. Volunteers and donations help the community and so many in need during the year.
“HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital partners with the Salvation Army to help those in need throughout the year in various ways,” said Tonya Bowrey, co-mission leader. “We are happy to be able to ring the bell and help this wonderful organization provide to those in need within the county.”
