Colleagues at HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital know that spending the holidays as a patient isn’t how most people would choose to celebrate. That is why the mission integration team, led by Tonya Bowrey and Lorrie Hayden, have Christmas plans to spread joy to Good Shepherd patients.
Christmas trees will be delivered personally by the mission integration team to each patient starting Wednesday, Dec. 18 through Christmas day on the medical-surgical floor. The trees will each be decorated by the members of the mission team. This is the third year for delivery of the trees, and the patients appreciate having a little Christmas spirit in their rooms during their stay over the holiday.
“The Christmas season is an especially wonderful time of year as we approach the birth of our Lord and Savior,” said Aaron Puchbauer, HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital president and CEO. “As part of our holistic approach to medicine to treat the body, soul and mind, we want to make our patients stay as cheerful as possible as we share the joy of the season with them.”
