The HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital human resource team and HSHS Central Illinois Division human resource talent acquisition group partnered with Nick Caldwell, guidance counselor at Shelbyville High School, to conduct mock interviews with the freshman focus classes.

Each student picked a business in Shelbyville where they would be interested in working. Then the students prepared to be interviewed by one of the team members for the job they chose.

“The goal of these interviews is to allow students to gain real life experience and tips for interviewing,” said Jessica Tipton, human resources generalist at Good Shepherd. “Students are given feedback on how they did during their interviews which prepares them for future job interviews.”

HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital colleagues enjoy partnering with Shelbyville schools, and being involved in the education of the local students.
