One year ago in late January, Shelby Memorial Hospital became affiliated with HSHS and began a new identity as HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital. As the newest member of the Hospital Sisters Health System, the hospital is celebrating this landmark first anniversary with a Greater Shelbyville Chamber of Commerce After Hours on Tuesday, January 30 from 5-7 p.m.

The after-hours event will be held in the physicians’ services center reception area of the HSHS Good Shepherd Physicians’ Center at 207 South Pine, Shelbyville. The public is invited and no registration is required.

In the past year, HSHS Good Shepherd has made many changes and improvements. Currently, the hospital is upgrading equipment and started work on a $2.1 million dollar, multi-phase construction project. The expected completion date is in April.

“We have always worked hard to bring great healthcare to our community. In the last year as part of the HSHS family, we have offered more services, upgraded many pieces of our equipment and focused on making great service become excellent service,” said HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital CEO and president Aaron Puchbauer. “With this new construction, we will continue to build a better hospital as we go forward into the next century with 24/7 care. We want to share with the public some of the changes we have made over this last year. We welcome our community to stop by during our Chamber of Commerce After Hours Celebration, take a tour and ask questions.”
