HSHS Medical Group is pleased to announce Brian Klostermann, MD, has been appointed chairperson of Clinton County Health Department, where he also serves as medical director. The chairperson appointment is for one year. Dr. Klostermann is a family and sports medicine physician at HSHS Medical Group Family & Internal Medicine Highland and Clinton County Rural Health Breese.
 
The Clinton County Health Department helps members of the community with immunizations, laboratory services, emergency preparedness, WIC (Women, Infant and Children program offered through the state) and much more.
 
As chairperson of the Clinton County Health Department, Dr. Klostermann’s duties include helping run monthly meetings. “I am honored to serve the Clinton County community through this role,” said Dr. Klostermann. “We are especially excited to be planning a new County Health Department building to better serve the needs of the community.”
 
In addition to his work with the Clinton County Health Department, Dr. Klostermann is chairperson for the Clinton County 708 Mental Health Board.
