HSHS Medical Group’s “Health Today” program features Todd Elmore, MD, Neurologist and Director of Neurosciences

HSHS Medical Group’s newest “Health Today” episode features Todd Elmore, MD, FAAN, an adult neurologist and Director of Neurosciences at HSHS Neuroscience Center in Springfield. A Springfield native, Dr. Elmore explains why he enjoys neurology and the variety of care offered by the neuroscience team at HSHS Neuroscience Center.
 
When Dr. Elmore joined, HSHS Medical Group did not have a neuroscience program at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. “What we’ve done here at St. John’s is created a Neuroscience Center which includes neurology, adult & pediatric neurosurgery, interventional neurology and stroke. We have plans to grow into other things that are neuroscience related. This is all under one roof to create something that is more efficient and has better outcomes for patients. They can come and see more than one doctor on the same day in the same office.”
 
Dr. Elmore completed his medical degree and residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. He is certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurosciences.
