HSHS Medical Group’s newest Health Today episode features Terese Laughlin, DPM, FACFAS, podiatric surgeon at HSHS Medical Group Foot & Ankle Specialists Springfield and Jacksonville. According to Dr. Laughlin, “I enjoy getting people back to the things they enjoy doing in life. I truly believe we are enhancing the lives of patients … and they are enhancing our lives as well. There is nothing more rewarding!”

Dr. Laughlin treats all conditions that are foot and ankle related. This includes medical problems, skin conditions, broken bones and conditions that require surgery.

Dr. Laughlin earned her medical degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Laughlin is a Diplomat of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
In this episode of Health Today, Dr. Laughlin explains some of the ways she and her staff deliver Patient-First Care as well as her favorite reason for serving others. “One of the best parts of the job is being out in the community – at a road race, for example – and having patients of mine come up and thank me, saying, ‘I just ran my best time and I’ve never felt so good!’”
