HSHS Medical Group Announces Tricia Patterson as January Colleague of the Month

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to announce Tricia Patterson as their January 2019 colleague of the month. Tricia is a Medical Assistant at HSHS Medical Group Children’s Surgical Services, located at 400 N. 9^th St., Suite 2400, in Springfield. She was called the “living, breathing dictionary definition of compassion” by her nominator, who also said that “her passion is a true gift to this ministry.”

Tricia lives the mission and core values of HSHS Medical Group by coming to work with a smile every day, ready to take care of whoever walks through the doors. She holds herself to a higher standard and makes it a point to connect with every patient, talking about their hobbies, singing through cast applications and helping parents cope with their child’s plan of care.

Tricia credits Kim Schoenburg, MD, for inspiring her to get into medicine. Dr. Schoenburg taught her to always “fight the good fight at any level to get what a patient needs.” When not encouraging her co-workers or singing the Baby Shark song to patients, Tricia can be found enjoying photography, watching her children play sports or cheering on any of the University of Kentucky teams.
