HSHS Medical Group Awards Provider of the Month to Aftab Jafri, MD

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Aftab Jafri, MD, with our April Provider of the Month Award. Dr. Jafri serves as a general surgeon at HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care in Decatur, Illinois.
 
The Provider of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members. “Dr. Jafri shows care in all situations in dealing with patients,” his nominator said. “He recently went out of his way to accompany a patient to the lab to be sure they received the care they deserved.”
 
“The mission of HSHS Medical Group is the biggest reason I came to work here. It touched my heart and is very close to the values I lead my life by,” Dr. Jafri said. He added that his guiding principles include “learning something new from everyone and every situation and getting better at what you do every day.”
 
Dr. Jafri’s favorite part of his job is seeing patients satisfied with the treatment they received from the whole team. He loves to connect with patients as human beings or family or friends and not just as a provider.
 
When not serving our patients, Dr. Jafri can be found with his family, listening to music or hanging out with friends.
