HSHS Medical Group Awards Provider of the Month to Rajinder Balasuriya, DO

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Rajinder Balasuriya, DO, with our February Provider of the Month Award. Dr. Balasuriya serves as an internal medicine physician at HSHS Medical Group Family & Internal Medicine - Panther Creek in Springfield, Illinois.
 
The Provider of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members. Dr. Balasuriya was nominated by a colleague who said that he “goes above and beyond to demonstrate utmost care, compassion and diligence.” A patient reported, “I’ve never met a doctor that cared so much and showed such a passion to fix me.”
 
“Respecting patients, fellow colleagues and others in society is key not only to gain trust but also to provide patient-first care,” Dr. Balasuriya said. “My favorite part of my job is making an impact for the betterment of patients’ lives.”
 
Dr. Balasuriya’s guiding principles are to always do the right thing, make a difference in patients’ lives, respect everyone around him and be positive. When not working, he can be found ballroom dancing or playing tennis, cricket, board games or golf.
