HSHS Medical Group Awards Provider of the Month to Richard DelValle, MD, FACP

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Richard DelValle, MD, FACP, with our March Provider of the Month Award. Dr. DelValle serves as an internal medicine physician at HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care in Taylorville, Illinois.
 
The Provider of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members. Dr. DelValle was nominated by a colleague who said, “Dr. DelValle is very kind to patients and colleagues. He is mindful of his schedule to ensure patients get quality care but do not experience a wait time.”
 
“I try to spend as much time with the patient as they need, and we follow up to be sure our plan has been helpful,” Dr. DelValle said. He added that his guiding principles include “integrity, honesty, compassion and devotion to the profession, realizing that it is more than just a job when people are trusting you with so much.”
 
Dr. DelValle’s sources of inspiration are his parents and grandparents. His father was also a family physician, and his mother was a nurse, so they taught him about devotion to the profession at an early age. His grandparents came from a very meager background, and he learned about compassion for people less financially fortunate by spending time with them.
 
When not serving our patients, Dr. DelValle can be found riding motorcycles, both off-road and street, and doing other outdoor activities such as hiking and bicycling.
