HSHS Medical Group Celebrates New Occupational Health and LeadWell™ Clinic in O’Fallon with Open House and Blessing

On November 4, HSHS Medical Group held an open house and blessing for the new HSHS Medical Group Occupational Health and LeadWell™ - O’Fallon location at 1512 N. Green Mount Rd., Suite 108, in O’Fallon, Illinois.
 
Speakers at the event included HSHS Medical Group’s Melinda Clark, CEO; Loren Hughes, MD, president; Sonya Jones, outreach representative; and Jon Jacobson, DO, MPH, occupational medicine physician. A blessing was offered by Fr. Dennis F. Voss of HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Debbie Arell-Martinex with the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce led a ribbon cutting.
 
HSHS Medical Group Occupational Health and LeadWell - O’Fallon will offer occupational health services, including work injuries, vaccinations, hearing and respirator tests, drug screens, pre-employment physicals and more. The LeadWell clinic provides acute and wellness services similar to those available through a primary care provider. Dr. Jacobson will be caring for patients at the O’Fallon location.
 
“This is a wonderful opportunity to get employer groups involved,” Dr. Jacobson said. “Our team will be working with both employers and employees. Balancing the needs of these two groups is an exciting part of what we do in occupational medicine.”
 
Dr. Hughes discussed the cost-savings benefits of HSHS Medical Group LeadWell and Occupational Health programs. “We are saving money for the 80 employers we have contracts with,” he said. “If we evaluate your company and find that we can’t save you money, we will be open with you and not offer you a contract.”
