HSHS Medical Group General Surgery Specialty Clinic in Shelbyville Welcomes Robert Osipov, MD

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to announce Robert Osipov, MD, general surgeon, now sees patients in Shelbyville every Wednesday. Dr. Osipov’s Shelbyville office is located on the campus of HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital at 200 S. Cedar St. in Shelbyville, Illinois.

As a general surgeon, Dr. Osipov’s care includes the following:

• Excisions (cysts, lesions, lipomas, etc.)

• Gallbladder removal

• Hernia repair

• Hemorrhoid banding

• Colonoscopies and endoscopies

• Port placement

Dr. Osipov earned his medical degree from the Astrakhan State Medical Academy in Russia. He completed residencies with University of Arizona, Metropolitan Group Hospitals and Seton Hall University. Dr. Osipov performed an internship with University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals and a laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Osipov is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
