HSHS Medical Group Welcomes Andres Lerner, MD, Hand Surgeon

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to welcome Andres Lerner, MD, hand surgeon, to their medical team. Dr. Lerner sees patients at HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care - St. Elizabeth’s, located at 3 St. Elizabeth’s Blvd., Suite 5000 in O’Fallon, Illinois.

As a skilled hand surgeon, Dr. Lerner’s scope of practice includes:

• Peripheral nerve: endoscopic carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel

• Percutaneous and endoscopic trigger finger

• Arthroscopic thumb CMC arthroplasty

• Advanced arthroscopy for diagnosis and treatment of wrist pain (degenerative and post-traumatic conditions)

• Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, elbow pain

• De Quervain’s tendonitis

• Tendon and nerve laceration repairs

• Hand/wrist fractures

• Microvascular surgery

• Dupuytren’s percutaneous and open release

• Mass/tumors/ganglion

• Regenerative medicine: PRP and stem cell therapy

Dr. Lerner received his medical degree from Maimonides School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed general surgery residencies at Julio Mendez Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He performed a hand surgery fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Lerner is board certified in general surgery. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and producing original music.
