HSHS Medical Group is pleased to welcome Helen Kennedy, APRN, to their medical team in the Decatur area. Helen offers primary care for patients of all ages at HSHS Medical Group Family & Sports Medicine – Mt. Zion, located at 4965 E. Lost Bridge Road, Decatur, Illinois.
 
Helen completed her master’s degree in public health nursing at the University of Illinois in Chicago and a master’s degree in management at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her bachelor’s in nursing at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Helen is a member of the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses, American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Diabetes Association and American Organization of Nurse Executives. In her free time, Helen enjoys riding her bike, making beaded jewelry, traveling, walking and spinning.
 
As a primary care provider, Helen cares for patients of all ages and offers a variety of services, including minor procedures, general wellness care, well-child exams and chronic illness management. As an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), Helen is a highly trained health care professional fully capable of diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, as well as prescribing medications.
