HSHS Medical Group is pleased to welcome Rajinder Balasuriya, DO, to their medical team. Specializing in internal medicine, Dr. Balasuriya is now accepting patients at HSHS Medical Group Family & Internal Medicine - Panther Creek, located at 2801 Mathers Road in Springfield, Illinois.
As a primary care provider, Dr. Balasuriya cares for patients ages 18 and older. His scope of practice includes disease prevention; wellness; substance abuse; mental health; and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.
Dr. Balasuriya earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. He completed his internal medicine residency at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida, and JFK Medical Center - North Campus in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Balasuriya enjoys playing tennis, cricket and board games; ballroom dancing; golfing; watching movies; and traveling.
