HSHS Medical Group’s newest “Health Today” episode features Richard Del Valle, MD, FACP, an internal medicine physician at HSHS Medical Group Internal Medicine in Blue Mound, Illinois. In this episode, viewers will learn more about Dr. Del Valle’s practice. According to Dr. Del Valle, “Good communication is at the heart of positive patient and provider relationships and is the foundation for delivering patient-first care.”
Dr. Del Valle earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his internal medicine residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Del Valle is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Illinois State Medical Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
“We listen with respect. This is the most important thing. In addition, I’ve had the fortune of having the same basic group of colleagues with me for most of my career, and they know the patients as well as I do. Our patients feel very comfortable talking to them and sharing details, so that helps us as we focus on the patients’ plan for prevention and diagnosis. It makes a big difference,” said Dr. Del Valle.
