Meet Your New Family Medicine Provider

Why did you choose a career in family medicine?
I started my career as a NICU nurse and worked as a nurse educator for a few years while studying to be a nurse practitioner. 
 
What do you enjoy most about being in family medicine?
I chose a career in family medicine to allow me to provide care to patients across the lifespan. I enjoy getting to know each patient as an individual and learning about their health goals. This helps me provide them with the best comprehensive, evidence-based care.  
 
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking/baking, gardening, hiking, biking and traveling.   
 
What is something that you want patients to know about you?
I want patients to know that I am committed to serving the Shelby County community, getting to know each patient individually and providing them with the care I would want for my own family.
