September 2019 Colleague of the Month

Amber Ford has been named the September 2019 Colleague of the Month at HSHS Medical Group. Amber is a registered medical assistant at HSHS Medical Group Family & Internal Medicine in Maryville, Illinois, and has been with HSHS Medical Group since 2016.

Amber was nominated by multiple colleagues who highlighted, “Amber has a genuine caring presence and patients consistently ask for her and praise her. She provides exceptional care by taking the time to listen and empathize with each patient.” Her colleagues also said, “Amber is never overwhelmed by the amount of work given to her and is always willing to do more, including helping and teaching colleagues when they are in need.”

“My favorite part of my job is getting the opportunity to help people feel better, whether that is by listening to them, assisting the provider for a diagnosis or just brightening someone’s day with a smile,” Amber said. “God has given me unlimited mercy, love and hope. It is my passion to try to express this to those surrounding me.”

Amber’s other passions include camping with her children, hiking and floating. She also loves singing and playing her guitar.
