SPRINGFIELD, IL – Health care providers and students of all disciplines and faith traditions are invited to attend the 2018 Spirituality in Health Care Conference: Conflict as Catalyst for Understanding on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.  The conference, with presenter Ann M. Garrido, DMin, associate professor of homiletics at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, will be held at the Chiara Center in Springfield, IL.

This annual conference, co-sponsored by Chiara Center and Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), addresses where God may be found in health care, how to be faithful in the midst of suffering and tremendous change, and how to find transcendent meaning in the health care profession. Presenter Ann Garrido will provide a framework for analyzing the cause of conflict and will share tools and techniques to resolve conflict effectively.

The conference also serves as continuing education for health care professionals.  Attendees can earn 5.75 hours for continuing medical education and contact hours, and 6.0 hours for continuing education.
