(GREENVILLE, IL) – The HSHS Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary presented a $380,000 donation this past week to HSHS Holy Family Hospital. These funds were raised by the Auxiliary throughout 2017. In total, the Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary has raised nearly $6.4 million for the hospital since 1957.
Funds from the donation will go toward a new CT scanner for Holy Family, a new loading dock for the Thrift Shop, completing support for the Chapel project, and life safety improvements.
“The accomplishments of the Auxiliary year after year are astounding,” says Brian Nall, HSHS Holy Family Hospital President and CEO. “Their dedication and support for the hospital is a blessing, and we are very grateful for all that they do. Their generosity and hard work allows us to continue to increase technology and improve patient and visitor experience,” says Nall.
The Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary is comprised of 700 volunteer members. Along with planning and organizing fundraising events, the Auxiliary also runs the hospital’s Gift Shop and the Greenville Thrift Shop.
“I am beyond thankful for each of our member volunteers,” says Marian Embry, Director of Volunteer Services. “Without them and their dedication, this would not be possible. It’s truly a pleasure to work with this group, alongside hospital leadership, to give back to the hospital that is there for all of us when we need it.”
The Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary was formed in 1957 to support the Mission of the hospital and its related entities. The organization provides charitable financial support and volunteers serve in a variety of roles on behalf of the hospital. Membership dues remain just $1 per year, as they have been since 1957.
