If you or someone you know would like to learn how to recognize the warning signs that someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to help them, then join us for one of our free QPR sessions at the below dates and times.
What is QPR?
Question the person you are concerned about to find out if they are feeling suicidal.
Persuade the person to get help.
Refer them to a local resource best able to help them.
Suicide is one of the most preventable causes of death. We may encounter people in our lives like family, friends, co-workers or students who are struggling with thoughts of suicide. QPR, guided by certified trainers, is a training designed to teach specific tactics to help prevent suicide.
Participants will learn the signs of suicide and three basic principles of how to help save a life. Each training will last approximately one and a half hours and will be provided via Zoom by a QPR-certified instructor. Private group sessions are also available by contacting Laura Baalrud.
