Community Health Needs Assessment

Every three years, HSHS St. Mary's Hospital conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to identify the top community health needs and local resources to address those needs. Based on the CHNA, the Hospital provides millions of dollars of Community Benefit programs and services annually. Programs supported by HSHS St. Mary's Hospital help the hospital to improve access to health care services, enhance the health and wellness of the community, and advanced medical or health care knowledge. These efforts, collectively known as community benefit, are outlined in the hospital's annual Community Benefit report (available below).

Our programs include

  • Fresh produce and non-perishable food for the community

  • Health and Wellness Initiatives

  • Infant car seat safety checks

  • Support Groups

  • Free community health screenings

  • Prenatal Clinic

  • Community health fairs

  • Maternal care and parent education classes

In addition, we support many local charities, encouraging our colleagues to volunteer and awareness for community causes.
