(EFFINGHAM, IL) – Ladies, when is the last time you indulged in an evening out for yourselves?  Call a friend and attend HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s Women’s Wellness Event on Thursday, October 26 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Keller Convention Center. 
 
The doors open at 4:30 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres and informational displays about St. Anthony’s Women’s Wellness Center services, Nutrition and Diabetes education, and Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness services, among other displays.  Pamper yourselves with gift bags, door prizes, and a presentation on a topic that matters to you.
 
At 6 p.m., Ruben Boyajian, MD, Medical Director of St. Anthony’s Women’s Wellness and Cancer Care Services, will provide a welcome and introductions, followed by the feature presentation by Nitin Kumar, MD, Gastroenterologist.  Dr. Kumar will speak on the topic, “Mind Your Gut: What you need to know about digestive issues and cancer prevention.”  This year’s topic will provide information on risk factors for gastrointestinal diseases and the importance of healthy choices and preventive screenings.
 
Admission is free; however, pre-registration is required since seating is limited.  Registrations will be accepted until October 18.  To register, visit St. Anthony’s web site at stanthonyshospital.org/wwe or select the “Events and Classes” link, and search for “Women’s Wellness Event,” where you can register online.
