(O’Fallon, IL) – Across the country at organizations, businesses and clubs of all sizes, public education on how to stop traumatic bleeding and injury in a major accident or attack is a priority. As part of their commitment to support to the community with this health knowledge, HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital launched the ‘Stop the Bleed’ public education campaign to help save lives in trauma situations. The next session is scheduled Saturday, Aug. 24, 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. in the O’Fallon Public Library Community Room, located at 120 Civic Plaza, O'Fallon, Illinois.

Class size is limited and RSVPs are required. Active audience participation is also necessary to fulfill the training. For questions about the event, email StEMarketing@hshs.org or to register visit https://ofpl.info/stopthebleed.

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action, initiated by a federal interagency workgroup, convened by the National Security Council Staff at The White House. The purpose of the campaign is to build national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made or natural disasters.
