St. Elizabeth's Hospital therapists and therapy assistants are highly trained in multiple specialties. Outpatient clinics serving the metro east community are located in Belleville, Edwardsville, Mascoutah, and 2 locations in O’Fallon.

Our therapists are clinically trained experts that optimize your quality of life through personalized exercise prescription, hands on care/manual techniques, other unique specialty programs and education to allow you to understand your condition and improve your function.

Occupational therapy

Our occupational therapists help patients of all ages who have physical, developmental, emotional and social needs. Through rehabilitation, we teach the skills they need to lead independent and productive lives. Our therapists help patients rebuild motor skills and relearn the activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, grooming and cooking. Treatment may include instruction in the use of splints and adaptive equipment. Occupational therapists also help patients and their families make adjustments to their homes that best meet any special needs. Our OT’s also treat upper extremity disorders including diagnoses associated with the arm and hand.

Speech language pathology

Our speech language pathologists treat patients of all ages who have problems with speech, language, hearing or swallowing. They can also strengthen a patient’s ability to read and write, recall information, organize and express thoughts, and use problem-solving skills.
