When to call the Wound Care Center

 

If someone has a wound that has not begun to heal within four weeks or is not completely healed in six weeks, they may benefit from the proven, best-practice methodologies at the Wound Care Center.

Some of the indications for wound therapy include:

•  Neuropathic ulcers
•  Pressure ulcers
•  Ischemic ulcers
•  Venous insufficiency
•  Traumatic wounds
•  Surgical wounds
•  Vasculitis
•  Peristomal skin irritations
•  Burns
•  Other chronic, non-healing wounds

  • Multilayer Compression Wraps Total Contact Casting

St. Elizabeth's Wound Care Center works with many departments in the hospital to offer an interdisciplinary approach to healing. Some of these areas include infectious care management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, labratory evaluation, nutritional management, pain management, diabetic education and radiology.
