We are committed to delivering vaccines as quickly as possible, as well as providing you with updated and transparent information about the distribution process. Please keep in mind that vaccine supplies are based on allocations from the State.

Appointments at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital can be made through MyChart. If you do not have a MyChart account, please follow the directions below to create one to view current and future appointments as they become available. 

Please check this website regularly as information will be updated as vaccines are ready for distribution.

How to make an appointment for Your COVID-19 Vaccination

  1. Go to www.mychartportal.org
  2. Login or Create a MyChart account by clicking “Sign Up Now” 
  3. Under Quick Links, click “COVID-19 Vaccine Link” 
  4. Click “COVID-19 Vaccination” and answer questions on eligibility to schedule a FIRST DOSE vaccine appointment 

If appointments are full, please check back as additional days and times will be added based available vaccine supplies and clinic days. We continue to appreciate the public's patience during vaccine roll outs.

Why should I get the COVID-19 vaccine? 

COVID-19 risks outweigh vaccine side effects

You’ve seen or have heard about the very worst effects of COVID-19 at our hospitals – as we have had many patients suffer greatly and even pass away. At HSHS we have given thousands of shots already and have had no reports of any unexpected side effects.

Receiving the COVID-19 vaccine is the best way to combat the disease. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and we need all the help we can get in fighting COVID-19. That is why we continue to ask you to wear a mask and social distance as well as get your COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available to you.

Who is currently eligible?

As of March 26, 2021, IDPH has expanded vaccine eligibility and HSHS St. Elizabeth’s stands ready to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to our community. If you are 16* or older and live or work in St. Clair County, you can make an appointment to be vaccinated. 

*Currently, St. Elizabeth’s can only vaccinate those 18 years of age and older. For 16-17 year olds, parents/guardians can call 618-234-2120, ext. 11040 and leave contact information for our vaccine team to discuss vaccination opportunities.

Do I need an appointment to get vaccinated? 

Yes. COVID-19 vaccines at HSHS facilities are available by appointment only. We are not accepting walk-ins.

 

What if all the appointments are taken?

We know many of you are eager to get vaccinated, and right now the demand for vaccine is greater than the supply. Please continue to monitor our website and your MyChart account for regular updates. We are prepared to deliver vaccines as quickly as we receive them, and we will continue to add vaccine appointments based on the size and frequency of shipments from the state.
