Food Services

The coffee shop is located in the lobby of St. John's Children's Hospital. Hours are 6 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday - Friday. The cafe features kid-friendly meals and snacks, as well as on-the-go items such as chicken salad, Caesar salad and fresh fruit.

The Ronald McDonald House is a temporary home away from home for the families of children seeking medical treatment at HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital.

Visiting hours

Visitors are welcome at HSHS St. John's Children’s Hospital. However, our first priority is the safety of our patients. We ask that all visitors be free from symptoms of contagious disease and known exposures.

Support persons who have any of the following symptoms or are not feeling well will NOT be allowed to visit:

  • Fever or chills
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of sense of taste or smell
  • Exposure to a known COVID-19 person in the past 14 days

Visitor guidelines are subject to change at any time to address the health needs of our communities in central and southern Illinois.

Threatening or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Our hospital is a safe and healing environment. Disruptive persons will be asked to leave our facility.
