Auxiliary supporting colleagues from home
December 31, 2020
Even though HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese Auxiliary members have not been able to volunteer at the hospital due to COVID-19 restrictions, they still found a way to support hospital colleagues from their homes.
Auxiliary members graciously prepared and donated 60 frozen meals for colleagues to take home at the end of their shift.
“Our auxiliary members are among the biggest supporters and cheerleaders for the hospital colleagues,” shared Chris Gebke, director of volunteer services. “They have missed being able to volunteer, and we have missed seeing them as well. When the opportunity arose to support our colleagues by way of frozen meals, they did not hesitate to sign up. We are very grateful for their generosity and support.”
