Breese, IL – The HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation will host its second annual Gala event on Saturday, September 15, at the Breese American Legion in support of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital - Breese. The event will be Denim, Diamonds and Dueling Pianos, with decorations, and entertainment being tied to the theme. Attendees are able to dress up, dress down, or find the perfect combination of jeans and bling.
The inaugural Gala raised more than $50,000 in support of the Hospital and the Foundation is preparing for another successful event this year. Funds that are raised at the event will support several hospital improvements that are in process, in addition to providing support for the free transportation service that will begin in September. The Friends Van service is a 100% donor funded service that transports area residents to medical appointments and the like when they cannot transport themselves.
“We have raised the bar this year in that we will feature dueling pianos as the entertainment to ensure our guests have a wonderful time while celebrating the generosity of our donors. The event is open for anyone to attend and tickets can be purchased on the giving page of the hospital website,” said Lisa Smith, Foundation Manager.
The Gala will start with cocktails and appetizers, a diamond pull and three different raffles to win a professional photography package, a Thanksgiving feast, and up to $250 in cash. Dinner at the event will be served by Silver Spoon Catering and will include beef filet with red wine demi glaze and a stuffed chicken breast with creamy pesto sauce. The dueling piano entertainment will begin after dinner. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the event running until 11 p.m.
“This event will be fun for everyone. People can dress up or come in their blue jeans and boots and feel right at home,” said Lisa Smith, Foundation Manager. “We are really looking forward to a great night that will support a great hospital.”
