Election of officers and appointment of committee chairpersons are two of the highlights of the annual meeting of the Auxiliary at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. The meeting, held Thursday, June 22, at the Breese American Legion, opened with prayer by Sister Joan Markus, hospital Pastoral Care director, and also included committee reports and presentation of $15,000 in grants - $1,000 each to 15 healthcare career students. This year’s theme was “Red, White and Blue” and many attending took the opportunity to wear patriotic colors and designs.
