Election of officers and committee appointments were two of the highlights of the June 28 annual meeting the Auxiliary at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital. Officers elected and committee chairs appointed included (seated, from left) Vice-President Ann Olliges who also serves as Bake Sale Co-chair with (not pictured) Aggie Kampwerth, Treasurer Barb Peek, Assistant Treasurer Mary AuBuchon who also serves as Gift Shop co-manager with Marianne Wade, Recording Secretary Judy Kampwerth, Quilting Co-chairs Joann Timmermann and Theodora Wilke, (standing, from left) Nominating Chair Carolyn Mamino, Health Advocacy Chair Joanne Becker, Patient/Visitor Activities Chair Kathy Deiters and Health Fair Chair Carol Fischer. Also elected were (not pictured) President Arlette Szczepan, who additionally serves as Floral Arrangement Chair with Beth Meier, and Corresponding Secretary Kathie Heimann; Roberta Beer is Past President. Other committee chairs appointed include (not pictured) Audit - Frank Hogg, Cancer Care Closet - Dorothy Bauman, Membership - Margaret Jakel, Public Relations - Mary L. Heeren (taking photos), Scholarships - Nancy Renschen, Shoe Project - Norma Rothengass and Ways and Means - Jeannie Weber. The afternoon opened with prayer by Pastoral Care’s Sister Pam Falter and a welcome by hospital President and CEO Chris Klay, then continued with presentation of $12,000 in scholarships - $1,000 each to a dozen health care career students.
