HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese will host a Stroke Support Group meeting on Tuesday, August 15, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the HealthPlex Conference Room. The HealthPlex is located north of the hospital at 14160 Jamestown Road, Breese. Please park in the lot in front of the HealthPlex – an accessible covered circle drive is available at the entrance.
The goal of the Stroke Support Group is to foster a better understanding of stroke recovery, rehabilitation, and prevention of recurrent strokes, while providing an opportunity for stroke survivors to meet others with similar challenges. In addition, the meetings offer caregivers and family members of stroke patients an open atmosphere for sharing and for supporting one other. There is no charge to attend.

The August meeting in Breese will discuss community resources available to stroke survivors and their family members.

Breese session topics for the remainder of the year include: “Staying Active” ̶ October 17, and “Meet the Dietitian” ̶ December 19. All sessions will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
