Chosen from more than 100 hospitals in the Midwest

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital is proud to be named the Platinum Plus Account of the Year Award from Compass One, a provider of environmental service products to hospitals in the country. The award is presented to a hospital that achieves and maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety and patient satisfaction ratings.
The hospital’s environmental services department is focused on sanitization. Environmental services colleagues perform hands-on, detailed training to learn methods of infection prevention and quality control. They directly impact patient care by working around the clock to clean and sanitize every surface in patient rooms, public hallways, and waiting rooms, disinfect and sterilize surgical areas and sanitize equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, railings and more.
President and CEO of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital, John Wagner said he is not surprised by this award designation.
“We have a great team and our hospital is fortunate to have such caring, dedicated and highly skilled colleagues behind the scenes where everything comes together to benefit our frontline colleagues and our patients,” he said.
In addition to the Platinum Plus Account of the Year Award, Environmental Services Director, Kandy Ebert was presented with the Regional Account of the Year Award for outstanding performance as leader of the environmental services team at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital. She said it’s rewarding to see how her hard work has benefitted the hospital.
“I take pride in what this team accomplishes every day,” she said. “These awards are proof of how engaged our colleagues are with each other, and with patients and their families.”
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital is part of a regional Compass One territory that includes more than 100 hospitals in the Midwest.
