Partners of HSHS St. Joseph's
A major source of fundraising for the medical needs of the community comes from The Partners events. The Partners of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital was organized in 1970 to promote community understanding of the hospital and raise funds to support the medical needs of the community. The Partners have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide technology and renovations. Are you interested in becoming a member of this dynamic organization of volunteers? Email us today!
Babysitting Classes — Our popular one-day class for teens 11 years and older is offered each year in April. Two classes are held each year in April.
Charity Ball — Each year, the Partners of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital hosts THE event of the season— the annual Charity Ball. Known for bringing together the finest dining with premier entertainment, the Charity Ball celebrates community.
Love-Lights — Honor a special person or remember someone dear to you through Love Lights. Coordinated by Partners, notes can also be sent to recipients/family members upon request, as well as a listing in the local newspaper. Everyone is welcome to attend a tree lighting and remembrance ceremony, held in the hospital's Healing Garden. Proceeds are directed to the Partners' current project.
Steak Fry — This late summer event is host to the locally renowned steak sandwich with all the fixins'. Proceeds from this event are directed to the Partners' Scholarship Fund which awards six $1000 scholarships yearly to local students entering the healthcare field.
Used Book Sale — Held in the fall, this two day event is known as one of the best used book sales in the community, with book pricing starting at only a quarter, with a wide variety of genres. Collection begins in September for used books, books on tape, and DVDs. Proceeds benefit the Partners' current project.
Vendor Fundraisers — Held throughout the year, specialty vendors sell their merchandise and Partners receive commission that is directed to the Partners' current project or toward scholarships. Purses, accessories, candies, toys, books, jewelry, linens, and blankets are just a few of the different types of merchandise that are brought in.
Wonderland on the River — In November, thirty tables are transformed, each with a unique theme and design by community members at this event held at Wissota Golf in Chippewa Falls.
