Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Arterial Disease (SET for PAD)
The Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Arterial Disease (SET for PAD) is a program to improve circulation and decrease symptoms of pain with walking associated with peripheral arterial disease.
Your physician must have diagnosed symptomatic PAD and refer you to the program. He may perform testing to verify the PAD, including non-invasive ABI testing.
The SET program offers
- Monitored and supervised exercise to improve circulation
- Assessment and plan for exercise to improve functional ability and decrease symptoms
- 36 sessions, 1-hour per session
- Coverage by most insurances
