HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Encourages Community to Join Organ Donor Registry

HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital will hold an organ donor drive in honor of Donate Life Month on Tuesday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby of the hospital. The donor drive is in partnership with the Macon County Life Goes on Committee and Macon County Health Department. The event will feature a blessing of the Gift of Hope flag in the lobby at 10 a.m.
Attendees will be able to register to become an organ donor as well as learn a little more about what it means to be a donor. Representatives from St. Mary’s Hospital, the Illinois Secretary of State’s office and the Macon County Health Department will be there to answer questions and assist individuals signing up to be a donor.
