HSHS St. Mary's Hospital has begun a $9 million renovation of the intensive care unit (ICU). The new ICU will be able to hold 12 patients and there family and provides a much better healing environment. The ICU renovations are expected to be finished in September 2018.

The ICU will more than double in size and will move from the 2nd flood to the 4th floor. Each room will be about 360 sq. feet to allow for more space for family members and care givers.

This will be not only be great for our patients' experiences here, but a colleague satisfier as well. The unit will have three nurses' stations with sightlines to each patient room. The nurses and the physicians are excited about the change in scenery. It will ensure that our ICU patients have their whole care team nearyby at all times. The hospital is so excited to enhance the patient experience in our ICU.
