Green Bay, Wis. – Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) – Eastern Wisconsin Division is pleased to announce the launch of a new service designed to help patients better understand and plan for health care costs.
The Price Estimator Tool, now available on the HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital and HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital websites, allows patients to see what their out-of-pocket charges will be prior to receiving care or treatment. Patients can select a service or procedure, provide their insurance information and receive an estimate of their out-of-pocket costs in a matter of minutes.
“We understand that experiencing a health concern is stressful enough, and that uncertainty surrounding the cost of treatment only adds to that stress,” said Therese Pandl, President and CEO, HSHS-Eastern Wisconsin Division. “It is our hope the Price Estimator Tool will reduce some of that anxiety, help patients better understand where charges stem from, and help them make an informed decision about their health care.”
