Green Bay, Wis. – HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis., are pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Charlier to serve as the hospitals’ president and CEO.

Since January 2017, Charlier has served as chief operating officer for HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center as well as Prevea Health. He will transition to his new role as president and CEO of both hospitals on Jan. 1, 2019, and will continue to serve as COO of Prevea.

“Brian has a long history of successful leadership and is deeply committed to our hospitals’ mission of providing health, healing and hope to all we serve,” said Therese Pandl, president and CEO of HSHS Eastern Wisconsin Division. “We are pleased he has accepted our invitation to serve in this new role within our Franciscan healing ministry.”

Charlier has deep roots in the Green Bay community; he was raised there and graduated from Green Bay East High School, as well as received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UW-Green Bay. In addition, Charlier’s father, Earl, served as the director of pastoral care at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital for many years.

“To be called to serve as the president and CEO of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin is a tremendous honor,” said Charlier. “I grew up in this community where HSHS St. Vincent and St. Mary’s have long been trusted, reliable pillars in a rapidly growing and changing health care landscape. We have a rich history of consistently providing patients the highest quality of care, guided by the deep faith and mission of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be asked to help carry that mission forward as the president and CEO of these fine hospitals.”
