– Prevea Health is pleased to announce Learn and Play with Baby
– a series of free, monthly classes at Prevea Therapy in West De Pere designed to help parents learn about how their babies grow and learn.
Parents and caregivers with babies from birth to 12 months of age are invited to participate in these classes, which are led by a pediatric physical therapist and developmental specialist. New developmental topics will be explored each month, including: Baby’s First Year of Motor Development, Exercise with Baby on the Ball, Baby Massage, Get Ready for Christmas and Yoga, Baby!
“Research shows caregivers and parents who are actively involved and engaged in their child’s early intervention, learning and activity, help their children establish lifelong healthy habits,” says Elizabeth Waerzeggers, MPT
– pediatric physical therapist at Prevea Therapy in West De Pere.
The first Learn and Play with Baby
class is 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28. The class, “Baby’s First Year of Motor Development,” will help parents and caregivers learn about typical milestone progression in children including what to expect and when. It will also help them learn strategies to assist a child that may be struggling to accomplish a skill such as rolling over or sitting up.
While classes are free, registration is requested as space is limited. Registration and the full schedule of classes is available at: www.prevea.com/Events/Learn-and-Play-with-Baby
Parents and caregivers can sign up for an individual class when it fits in their schedule, or may sign up for all classes. All classes are held at Prevea Therapy, located at 1601 Lawrence Dr. in West De Pere. For further information, call (920) 272-3380.
