A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Social Worker to join our team at Psychiatry Clinic. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven individuals who will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to patients dealing with a wide range of issues by counseling them and helping patients and their families navigate the medical system, assessing and monitoring patients' such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders by counseling them on managing ongoing health conditions and making positive behavior changes.

o Department: Psychiatry
o Core Function: Behavioral Health/Social Work
o Schedule: Full-time; 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday; 8am-4:30pm
o Facility: Springfield – Psychiatry
o Location: Springfield, IL

Education Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in social work is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work plus five years of social work or social service clinical experience may be considered in lieu of a master's degree.
Experience Qualifications
  • Prior experience in social work or past social service clinical experience directly transferrable to a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • 2 years of home care, hospice, discharge planning or related experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in the state of Wisconsin or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Illinois is required.
  • Wisconsin: Licensed as a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW), Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred. Illinois: Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • In roles which travel is required, a valid driver's license, automobile insurance and own transportation is required.
