What is MBSR and How Can it Help Me? Wednesday, July 21: 6 - 7 p.m. MBSR stands for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Participants will gain an understanding of mindfulness; experience a guided mindfulness practice and learn what is included in the 8-week MBSR program, Mindfulness: Prescription for Stress Management. Free.
Mindfulness: Prescription for Stress Management. Wednesdays, July 28 - Sept. 22: 6 - 7:30 p.m. (No class on September 8) Mindfulness has been shown to strengthen the immune system, alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, increase productivity at work, manage chronic pain and generally decrease the harmful effects of stress on an individual’s overall health and well-being. Suggested donation: $80.
