Through our partnership with Prevea Health, the Prevea Cancer Center at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital provides complete cancer care. Our Prevea Cancer treatment team includes some of the area’s best medical oncologists working side-by-side with physician assistants/nurse practitioners, medical physicists, radiation therapists, oncology nurses, counselors, social workers, dietitians, medical assistants and support staff.

Our radiation oncology program, lead by Northwest Radiation Oncology Associates, pairs three-dimension imaging technology and computerized treatment planning with experienced professionals for precise treatment.

Varian TrueBeam® linear accelerator

A linear accelerator is used to treat all organs of the body and delivers high-energy x-rays to the region of a patient’s tumor. These x-ray treatments are designed in such a way that they destroy cancer cells while sparing surrounding normal tissue.
