At the Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Clinic of HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital and Evergreen Surgical, you’ll find the information, structure and support you need to reach your health and weight loss goals.

Our bariatric surgeon and medical director, Dr. Brandon Andrew, specializes in two minimally-invasive weight loss surgery procedures - Gastric Sleeve and Gastric Bypass. Having one of these bariatric procedures, however, is just part of a larger, more holistic process. Patients meet with dieticians, pharmacists, exercise therapists and behavioral health counselors to help them along their weight loss journey.

Bariatric Surgeon: Dr. Brandon Andrew

Our bariatric surgeon and medical director, Dr. Brandon Andrew, specializes in gastric sleeve and gastric bypass weight loss surgery procedures. Dr. Andrew was fellowship trained at the Bariatric Surgery Program of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He earned his medical degree with honors in research from Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL, and completed a five-year residency in General Surgery at Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

He is medical director of the Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Clinic. He also has an interest in gallbladder, biliary tract disease, and hernias. Dr. Andrew has published manuscripts and abstracts, and has spoken at national conferences on topics such as patient management before and after bariatric surgery, appendicitis in pregnancy, and management of gallbladder and biliary tract diseases.
