Take your first step to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Our program offers paid on-site training, followed by employment in an HSHS hospital upon completion.  Additionally, candidates are eligible to take the state competency exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) after training.

O'Fallon, Illinois

In O’Fallon, IL, the program is a Registered Apprenticeship with the State of Illinois in collaboration with St. Clair County Workforce Development and with education provided by Midwest Career Source on-site at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

Program Dates: 

  • The program occurs three times a year: February, June and October; Monday through Friday for six weeks at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois. 

Eligibility:  

  • Anyone 18 years old or older with a high school degree or GED can apply. Applications are accepted three months prior to the state date and are subject to an interview and completion of pre-testing requirements.
