Dr. Banga’s dedication to advancing the field of cardiology is evident through his extensive research activities, including authoring over 40 peer-reviewed publications, contributing to multiple book chapters, and presenting numerous abstracts at international cardiology conferences. His research efforts span diverse areas such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmia management, cardiac imaging techniques and innovative interventional cardiology procedures. Dr. Banga actively participates in clinical trials and collaborative research projects, contributing significantly to new advancements in cardiovascular care. He began his medical career in India, where Dr. Banga completed his education at Maulana Azad Medical College and Lady Hardinge Medical College in Delhi, India. He subsequently pursued advanced training through fellowships in cardiovascular imaging at West Virginia University, electrophysiology at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, and interventional cardiology at Michigan State University in Lansing, where he also served as chief cardiology fellow from 2023 to 2024. He is board-certified in internal medicine and holds specialty certifications across multiple cardiac imaging modalities.
