HSHS Prairie Cardiovascular welcomes L. Graham Rucker, MD, a vascular surgeon, to Prairie Cardiovascular-O'Fallon at 3 St. Elizabeth's Blvd.
Dr. Rucker treats patients with conditions affecting the arteries and veins, including poor circulation, leg swelling, carotid and aortic disease. He performs both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular procedures designed to restore blood flow with smaller incisions and shorter recovery times.
His approach to care starts with listening. Dr. Rucker takes time to explain each diagnosis in clear terms and involves patients and their families in treatment decisions. He believes proper communication and collaboration lead to the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Rucker earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in vascular surgery in Cincinnati, where he trained in complex endovascular aortic reconstruction and venous disease management. He is board certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery and holds certification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
